Gateway of Hope’s Parent Education program focuses on enhancing parenting practices and behaviors, such as developing and practicing positive discipline techniques, learning age-appropriate child development skills and milestones, promoting positive play and interaction between parents and children, and locating and accessing community services and supports. We have parenting classes that focus on children and teens.
We also have a parent mentor program for parents whose children were returned to their care by Child Protective Services. The parent mentor is available to assist and guide the parent for the child-parent relationship to be loving and meaningful. The mentor will act as a positive resource to the parent.
